Ever wondered how the Tata Nano would look like if its designers were provided a crate of lager each. Don’t wonder no longer because here its is at the 2011 Geneva auto convention. The Tata Motors stand was abuzz with this tiny concept called the Pixel. The car is based on the Nano platform we are familiar with. The concept is complete with a white body, purple windows and doors that open gull-wing style.

Tata Motors hasn’t just gone a step further with interior design rather, several steps. The interior is no where near what we have seen in the Nano. It looks futuristic from all angles and the list of toys on offer is even more impressive. The centrepiece is ‘My Tata Connect’, an infotainment system that integrates the user’s smartphone or iPad into the car controls.

The Pixel has a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder turbodiesel engine. Keeping up with current trends, Tata Motors offers stop-start technology and “intelligent battery charging”. The Pixel runs on low resistance tires and the company claims combined fuel economy of 35.28 km/lt and CO2 emissions of 89g/km.
