The Oscar fever has hitched up all over the globe and everyone is eagerly awaiting the weekend to dawn. Come Sunday and it will be the grand 83rd Academy Awards presentation day. The show will be hosted by James Franco and Anne Hathaway. This is the first time in Oscar history for a male and a female to be physically present on the same stage to host the Oscars. The ceremony for honoring films will be held at the Kodak Theatre, Hollywood, Los Angeles, California.
The James-Anne pair also takes a first in being the youngest couple to host the Oscars. Apart from having a fantastic onscreen chemistry Ms. Hathaway has revealed to media that she gave the nod to host the Oscars after learning that Franco has nodded yes to host the show. The hosts this time have reportedly made it clear that they will host the show without singling out anyone unlike the previous Oscars; but at the same time not make it too serious.
James Franco has two reasons to be nervous on February 27. One that he is co-hosting the 83 Academy Awards event and two for being nominated for the best actor award for his role in Danny Boyle’s ‘127 Hours’. On hosting the Oscars, the actor has revealed that he shouldn’t make obvious mistakes because then it becomes a part of the show. Anna Hathaway is worried about the show going wrong in so many different ways!
But rest assured the duo have been practicing hard and the sneak peaks and the photo shoots have come out really well, so folks cross your fingers and wait for the D-day, when your favorite stars and favorite films will walk out with the golden statutes clutched in their hands.
